Arriva support international effort to tackle Coronavirus in Italy

As part of an international effort to tackle coronavirus in Northern Italy, Arriva Italia has been laying on buses to help transport doctors and health care workers from around the world to hospitals in Brescia.

Working closely with The Transport Agency of Brescia and the Regional Crisis Unit for the Lombardy Region, the team at ARRIVA SIA provided their drivers and buses free of charge to help transfer 12 Polish health workers from Brescia Hospital to Orio al Serio Airport, before transporting a second group of Polish doctors and nurses who had arrived in Linate, back to Brescia to continue the fight.

The gesture was appreciated by President of the Brescia TPL Agency, Claudio Bragaglio, who thanked Arriva for their support in making their drivers and buses available.

Angelo Costa, MD Arriva Italia said: “We joined this initiative immediately – making our small contribution is a privilege and an honor for us. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the 12 health workers who have given their help and professionalism in the hospitals of Brescia in such a delicate moment for the city and for the whole country, and I welcome those who have just arrived. Thank you very much for your work.”
